This is a trip to the largest man made lake in the world! We paddle out around in a wooden canoe, which leaked quite badly. Luckily there was a bucket for the man in the middle to empty water with. A parasite that digs into your skin then lodges in the liver and causes death is prevalent in these waters. So the water in the bottom of the canoe may have given me a special friend. One picture is of us in front of the dam. The first picture is at a cafe were for one dollar you can have your picture taken with the crocodiles.
We hitched a ride with a Guinness truck driver to the lake from the town at the dam. Guinness is made in Ghana and is like 6o cents for a beer. I usually get Coke which is 35 cents for a bottle. Why so cheap? They wash the bottles and repackage them.
